Where it all began...
The first time I saw a picture of Machu Picchu was on the side of a coffee jar...I was very young...probably about 6 or so. I remember seeing strange buildings on top of a misty mountain and blue sky beyond....I thought to myself, 'I'm gonna go there one day'....having no idea where it was!
Well, it's taken 35 years but soon I will be there...Life is a strange old thing don't ya think?
Did destiny give me a sign all those years ago or has one of my biggest dreams been instigated by a seductive coffee advertisement of the late seventies?
The Surrender...The Commitment...
On any journey there are way-points...a fork in the road, a choice to be made... and at 25 years old, life having been very challenging and after the death of my Grand Father I looked to the sky and I surrendered... I committed to fulfilling my highest destiny and to the path of service. Little did I know then what lay ahead...I learned the true meaning of the phrase...'A little knowledge is dangerous'....funny though, as I reflect on the past it makes me smile to myself....there's an aspect of me that says "Fool, fool girl, if you'd known then what you know now, would you have said yes?" In truth I probably would've yes, never having been one to shrink from a challenge... Since then the opportunities, forks in the road and way-points have always presented themselves....
The path to Peru revealing itself...
During a chilly February visit to Glastonbury, almost a decade ago now, I had an impromptu card reading (in truth to get out of the cold for half an hour)....Apparently from that moment, according to the reader, my life would change forever....my cynic piped up somewhere in the back of my mind shouting "Yeah, whatever! another tenner wasted"...but, my cynic had to quickly eat her words, as within a few short weeks I found myself at Gaunts House standing around a sacred fire, with strangers who have become treasured friends, embarking on the journey of a lifetime...well on reflection anyway...hindsight is a wonderful thing! At the time I remember feeling most out of place, defensive, with my arms folded firmly across my chest! The journey with The Four Winds and path to the ancient teachings of The Andes and The Amazon had begun....and so too, my first conscious steps towards Peru...
Spirit Inspiration~ This mornings 'Other-worldly' visitor had this to say....perfect timing as always...another step along The Path...
"Each step in life is perfect, Universal architecture, it is only the mind that creates the fear of falling"
So, what places will we visit....
For me, this is the most inspiring part of walking the The Shamanic Way....is just how simply events, insights and opportunities synchronise....Upon booking the flights, the chain-reaction began...people, connections, places, dates, ceremonies all fell into place....through journeying, dreaming, healing, connecting and of course Facebook and Watsapp everything has presented itself beautifully and some of my work in this abundant land has become clear...
